Space Saving Appliance Saves Homeowners Money

Wall-hung boilers are here to stay in North America.

Used in Europe for more than 35 years, North Americans are increasingly embracing the space-saving appliances for their ability to cut home heating and hot water bills in half.

Many wall-hung boilers, such as the Baxi Luna, are environmentally friendly and so quiet that they can be installed in the bedroom. Residential models are no bigger than a kitchen cupboard.

A Baxi Luna can be used with any type of air handler, wall or baseboard radiator, or in-floor radiant heating system. It can provide hot water on demand and can heat an entire home - from 600 to 6,000 square feet.

In addition to the 85.5 percent efficient Baxi Luna introduced to North America seven years ago, the manufacturer has developed a new Baxi Luna condensing wall-hung boiler that is more than 90 percent energy efficient, which dramatically cuts domestic utility energy consumption and costs.

In a field test of the new product, a hydronic specialist in Buffalo, Wis., achieved 98.9 percent energy efficiency. The installation involved an in-floor radiant heating system covering 3,900 feet of floor space and 900 feet of garage space.

Baxi Luna boilers use technology that detects the temperature rise in your home and automatically adjusts the gas usage.

Baxi Luna wall-hung boilers are Energy Star-certified for energy consumption, H-Stamp

rated for operating effectiveness and approved by the American and Canadian gas associations. The units are fully assembled and factory-tested for ease of installation.
